On a cold Halloween night back in 2002, me and my flatmates decided to have a party. There were no stipulations to this party other than that people were encouraged to bring scary vegetables and discouraged from bringing arseholes. Thankfully, that led to a preponderance of the former with none of the latter and it was a cracking night. Little did we know of the ludicrous tradition we were setting into motion.
Now, with seven consecutive Halloween parties to date, it has turned into the most ridiculously competitive vegetable-based (and increasingly fruit-based) gathering in the western world. Have a look for yourself if you don't believe me...
